    Kinetik has extensive background in nutrition and is very knowledgeable in the field of physiology (how the body utilizes nutrition). After a thorough questionnaire, history, and examination, if necessary, we will do numerous nutrient status tests to find if nutritional deficiencies, imbalances, and sensitivities exist. Once a baseline is established, we will tailor a nutritional and dietary guideline to meet your specific needs. Also, dietary consultation is available to reach goals regarding a healthier lifestyle, a specific lifestyle goal, a change in body composition, or a fitness related nutrition goal. Remember, nutrition and diet are key component to optimal health and wellness!

  • Rehabilitation

    Our goal is to ensure our patients optimize their full physical capabilities. Whether that be a walk to the mailbox or hitting your record race time, we tailor a personalized rehabilitation plan catered to your specific goals. We are equipped to administer some post-surgical rehabilitation, while working with your medical physician, as well as non-surgical rehabilitation. A new and very effective way to see improved post-op results, is something we call "Prehab". This is an approach where the patient begins to strengthen, stretch, and increase mobility before a scheduled surgery even happens. Research has shown much greater rehab results when "Prehab" is administered prior to surgery.

  • Accupuncture & Dry-Needling

    Acupuncture is a minimally invasive, alternative form of treatment that has been used to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. People often choose acupuncture when traditional western medicine has failed them and their symptoms fail to resolve. At Kinetik, some of the common conditions our providers treat using acupuncture are headaches, low back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, foot pain, sciatica, and pain stemming from general osteoarthritis. Based on Texas laws, our providers only treat musculoskeletal complaints using acupuncture. Another option, is DryNeedling. This is a general term used across the board in regards to a therapeutic treatment using a filament needle (like the needles used in acupuncture) and advancing the needle into a muscle that most often contains a trigger point and is causing pain. These needles do not contain any injectable substances and is much smaller than a hypodermic needle used for injections. Most patients won't even feel the needle enter the skin, but once the needle advances to the muscle tissue, the discomfort can range from patient to patient. A patient with healthy muscle tissue, will generally feel very little discomfort. However, a patient with an injured, sensitive, shortened, or muscle in spasm may feel something similar to a muscle cramp, which is called the "twitch response". This response is what will help increase micro-circulation to the injured tissue, flushing out the stagnant toxic cells, and revitalizing the injured area with fresh blood and nutrients. Dry needling can treat many musculoskeletal ailments with little to no side effects or risk.
